Hello, Klein ISD. As we look forward to Veterans Day this Friday, I want to take this opportunity to thank our veterans for their service to our country.

Veterans Day is such a special time in Klein ISD.

All Klein students recognize this important day...

...and many of our schools hold special events to pay tribute to our veterans.

Each year, Klein ISD sponsors a Salute to Veterans and Armed Forces that kicks off with a breakfast on Veterans Day.

We want all our veterans and their families to join Principal Clay Huggins and the Kleb Intermediate team...

...at 8 o'clock in the morning this Friday, November 11th.

Our keynote speaker at the breakfast is with Camp Hope...

...an interim housing facility for wounded warriors and veterans that suffer from PTSD.

Immediately following the breakfast at about 9:15, we invite the community to join the Klein ISD Air Force JROTC...

...as they present the Pass-in-Review program at Klein Memorial Stadium.

More than 650 cadets are expected to participate in this time-honored program.

This year's stadium event, hosted by Jessica Haddox and her Klein High School team...

...includes Timothy Lambert, Lt. Col., United States Air Force Retired who is coordinating the Pass-In-Review program.

The Pass-In-Review will give you a glimpse of the training and dedication of these Klein students.

There will be a tribute in song to all the armed forces.

And a riderless horse closes out the ceremony, paying tribute to the fallen soldiers who sacrificed all for our freedom.

The weather is forecast to be outstanding, so I hope you will join the district in honoring our veterans on Friday.
