Hi, my name is Elina and today I am here to share with you about enzymes and the importance of it in our bodies
00:10.9
00:17.9
There are over 60 trillion cells in our bodies each requiring enzymes to operate
00:18.0
00:22.8
But each enzyme is singular in purpose which means each enzyme can only fulfil one task
00:22.9
00:27.7
There are around 700-800 different types of enzymes currently discovered
00:27.8
00:32.6
But scientists say that there are likely more enzmye types yet to be discovered
00:32.7
00:35.6
and there are at least 4000-5000 different types in the human body alone.
00:35.7
00:38.9
Regardless of whether there are 700-800 or 4000-5000 types of enzymes in our bodies,
00:39.0
00:43.3
enzymes in the human body serve 2 main functions.
00:43.4
00:52.7
The first type is digestive enzymes, which aids us in breaking down food into smaller particles.
00:52.8
00:57.6
An example of this type of enzymes would be our saliva, which helps to convert
00:57.7
01:06.1
the carbohydrates we eat into glucose which can be absorbed by the human body.
01:06.2
01:11.0
Other than digestive enzymes, the other form of enzymes would be metabolic enzymes.
01:11.1
01:17.5
Metabolic enzymes are in charge of the metabolism of our both and other bodily functions
01:17.6
01:26.5
The human body is mainly comprised of these 2 main enzyme types. Since we know how important enzymes are to our bodies
01:26.6
01:32.1
we need to know how to select a quality enzyme, which is what we are here to present on today.
01:32.2
01:40.9
There are 4 main things to look for when selecting a quality enzyme. First, it should be safe. It should not contain any
01:41.0
01:45.8
pesticides, drugs, preservatives or heavy metals which means
01:45.9
01:54.7
it should be 100% natural without any chemical substances. Anybody should be able to consume it at any quantity.
01:54.8
02:04.3
Next, we want to select an enzyme with high activity levels and by this we are talking about the efficacy of the enzyme.
02:04.4
02:13.9
We eat a product because we want it to be effective but how do we test it's efficacy? I will show you a simple experiment you can do at home
02:14.0
02:28.8
This is tapioca flour. It is widely recogised as one of the purest forms of carbohydrate.
02:28.9
02:49.4
We will add some water to a beaker, add some tapoica flour in and mix well.
02:49.5
02:54.3
02:54.4
02:59.2
We then add in boiling water.
02:59.3
03:09.1
03:09.2
03:14.0
You can see that it forms a sticky starch
03:14.1
03:18.9
03:19.0
03:23.8
Many dishes you find outside are made with this starch, including oyster omelette and bubble tea pearls.
03:23.9
03:35.5
I will divide this into 2 glasses. You can see that it is still extremely viscous and hot.
03:35.6
03:42.2
We then add a packet of BeauZyme Fortify into it. As mentioned earlier, this enzyme
03:42.3
03:47.1
contains is 100% natural and contains no chemical substances such as pesticide, drugs, heavy metals or preservatives
03:47.2
03:52.0
and is safe even for expecting mother and babies. It is also safe for kidney dialysis patients
03:52.1
03:56.9
diabetics and cancer patients as it is as safe as the vegetables we consume daily.
03:57.0
04:01.8
In fact, it might even be safer than the food we eat daily as it does not contain any pesticide or preservatives.
04:01.9
04:06.7
Fortify is extremely useful in breaking down carbohydrates, lipids (fats) and protein
04:06.8
04:16.4
We will now show you how it breaks down carbohydrates similar to the rice we eat daily.
04:16.5
04:24.7
This is still extremely hot. Why are enzymes precious? Because it only exist in living things, which means that enzymes
04:24.8
04:29.6
are extremely sensitive to temperature and start to deactivate above 48 degrees celcius.
04:29.7
04:42.5
This cup, which I just added boiling hot water to, is at least 90 degrees celcius. I will stir this
04:42.6
04:47.4
to simulate the chewing action we do when we eat. Doctors advise us to chew at least 30 times per
04:47.5
04:54.0
mouthful and you may realise that rice becomes sweeter the longer you chew it. This is because the enzmyes in the saliva in our mouth
04:54.1
04:58.9
has broken down and transformed the carbohydrates in the rice into glucose, which is sweet.
04:59.0
05:03.8
Anyone who cooks should know that by adding powder into a viscous starch it would normally become
05:03.9
05:08.7
even more sticky and thick. However, as you can see here, by adding Fortify into it,
05:08.8
05:13.6
05:13.7
05:18.5
it has been broken down into a liquid form.
05:18.6
05:27.2
What you have just witnesses is the activity level and efficacy of enzymes. Lets us take a look at this other glass
05:27.3
05:33.8
which do you think is easier for our body to digest? The one with the enzymes of course.
05:33.9
05:38.7
This is why doctors always advise the elderly not too eat too many rice dumplings during the dragon boat festival
05:38.8
05:48.9
as older people tend to have less enzymes left in them. Enzymes have 2 main characteristics. 1: it decreases as your age increases.
05:49.0
05:54.8
2: it will deplete based on our usage. People who smoke, stay up late at night, drink or
05:54.9
06:02.3
binge eat will exhaust the enzymes in their bodies much faster. Which is why elderly folks are often more
06:02.4
06:07.2
susceptible to indigestion because their bodies cannot break down the food eaten from
06:07.3
06:12.1
carbohydrates into glucose, which can then be easily digested and absorbed by the human body.
06:12.2
06:19.2
This cup has totally been broken down into liquid form, however, this only shows that it has broken the food down
06:19.3
06:24.1
how do we know if it has transformed the carbohydrate into glucose? We will set this aside
06:24.2
06:29.0
for 5 minutes and you will see that it will seperate.
06:29.1
06:33.9
The top part will become a clear yellowish liquid that would be mildly sweet. This is glucose in it's purest form
06:34.0
06:41.9
Tapioca flour is not sweet and neither is our product but the mixture is sweet because
06:42.0
06:46.8
through the enzymes, the tapioca flour has been broken down and transformed into glucose
06:46.9
06:54.1
and that is why it is sweet. That is the first experiment showing you how enzymes aid in breaking down carbohydrates.
06:54.2
06:59.0
Of course we do not only eat carbohydrates, a big part of our diet is also protein
06:59.1
07:03.9
which is why I will now show you an experiment with an egg.
07:04.0
07:12.5
Protein is one of the main components of the human body and intake of protein is
07:12.6
07:21.7
very important but we often hear doctors advising the elderly not to eat too many eggs. Why?
07:21.8
07:26.6
Yes, because of cholesterol. Eggs contain cholesterol but we also often
07:26.7
07:31.5
hear doctors advising children going through puberty to eat an egg
07:31.6
07:38.7
or 2 daily. Why is there a difference in advice?
07:38.8
07:41.5
Because of enzymes.
07:41.6
07:46.4
When the enzyme level is your body is sufficient, eggs can be broken down into nutrients but if you
07:46.5
07:50.4
do not have enough enzymes, the egg would cause your cholesterol level to rise.
07:50.5
07:55.3
As mentioned earlier, protein is one of the main components of the human body. Our blood is
07:55.4
08:00.2
60-80% made up of protein. Take a look at this, if
08:00.3
08:05.1
our blood stream is as viscous as this egg do you think it is good for our health?
08:05.2
08:10.0
Blood this viscous can easily cause stroke and heart attack which is why with a 60cc blood test
08:10.1
08:14.9
we are able to test for over 100 types of diseases and illnesses. How we will pour some of the egg over
08:15.0
08:19.8
08:19.9
08:24.7
It is still very viscous. We will now add in our
08:24.8
08:29.6
BeauZyme Revivify enzyme
08:29.7
08:34.5
Kids love Revivify because it is sweet.
08:34.6
08:39.4
It is made from only 6 fruits and nothing else, not a single drop of water is added into it
08:39.5
08:44.3
during the manufacturing process. During the fermentation process it has been broken down and transformed
08:44.4
08:49.2
into enzymes the body can easily absorb.
08:49.3
08:57.4
Over 70% of Revivify is oligosaccharides, a prebiotic that is beneficial to our intestines
08:57.5
09:02.3
and the remaining 30% is a combination of vitamins A, B, C and trace minerals from the fruits used
09:02.4
09:07.2
and of course enzymes. This enzyme is extremely effective in breaking down proteins.
09:07.3
09:12.1
I strongly recommend making this as a nutritious morning breakfast
09:12.2
09:19.8
as it can completely break down and transform the protein in the egg into amino acids, a
09:19.9
09:24.7
crucial component in cell building and repair. This would help in recovery of damaged cells.
09:24.8
09:29.6
By drinking this everyday you should see, within a week,
09:29.7
09:34.5
you should see improvement in your complexion due to the improvement in your cellular health.
09:34.6
09:39.4
Especially for the elderly and children in the family, they
09:39.5
09:44.3
require more amino acids in their daily lives. Drinking a glass everyday would
09:44.4
09:49.2
aid in the growth of children and the absorption of nutrients for the elderly.
09:49.3
09:52.7
09:52.8
09:57.6
As we saw earlier, the egg was very viscous but now it has turned into liquid.
09:57.7
10:02.5
Through the enzymes, it has been broken down and transformed into amino acid, ready to be absorbed by our body.
10:02.6
10:07.4
How do we test if it has been broken down into amino acid?
10:07.5
10:12.3
One characteristic of protein is it coagulates when heated. Which is how you get hard boiled eggs.
10:12.4
10:17.2
I will add boiling hot water into both beakers
10:17.3
10:22.1
10:22.2
10:27.0
10:27.1
10:31.9
10:32.0
10:36.8
10:36.9
10:41.7
You can see that in this beaker the protein has coagulated. Add some salt and spring onions and you have yummy egg drop soup
10:41.8
10:46.6
But in the beaker with Revivify there is no coagulation at all
10:46.7
10:51.5
This is a tasty and natural amino acid drink. It has all the benefits of an egg with none of the burden.
10:51.6
10:57.1
This is the transformative power of enzymes. It can aid in breaking down the big particles
10:58.2
11:07.4
like carbohydrate, protein and fats into glucose, amino acid so it can be absorbed by our digestive tract.
11:07.5
11:12.3
Hence enzymes are extremely important in our bodies. If we do not have enough enzymes
11:12.4
11:17.2
any food or supplement you eat will be unabsorbed and wasted.
11:17.3
11:22.1
This is the activity level and transformative power of enzymes. Next, we will show you
11:22.2
11:27.0
how enzymes not only aid in digestion but metabolism as well.
11:27.1
11:32.8
Let us take a look at this beaker. The clear liquid on top is the glucose that I mentioned earlier.
11:32.9
11:38.6
BeauZyme Fortify can be effectively used to break down carbohydrate and protein
11:38.7
11:51.9
so if you want to use Fortify to break down protein, do feel free to do as I have demonstrated earlier.
11:52.0
11:56.8
You will find that there is no coagulated protein at all, every bit has been transformed into amino acid.
11:56.9
12:01.7
BeauZyme Fortify can be effectively used to break down carbohydrate, protein and even lipids (fat).
12:01.8
12:06.6
You can do a simple experiment to break down lipids. Buy a piece of fatty meat,
12:06.7
12:17.7
wash and dry well, and scatter Fortify on it. After 30 mins you will find that the fat on the meat will have reduced.
12:17.8
12:22.6
This is because through the enzymes the fat has been broken down into fatty acids
12:22.7
12:29.5
and can now be washed off. This once again demonstrates
12:29.6
12:34.4
the activity level of Fortify.
12:34.5
12:39.3
Our enzymes can not only digest food but can boost metabolism as well.
12:39.4
12:45.6
During the manufaturing process the fibers of the ingredients are completely conserved
12:45.7
12:50.5
and that is why it can withstand high heat, unlike most other enzymes. This also enables it
12:50.6
12:57.8
to aid in our metabolism as well. Metabolic enzymes are used to assist in the normal operations of our organs.
12:57.9
13:02.7
I am sure you have all heard of diabetes. Diabetes is an
13:02.8
13:07.6
autoimmune reaction generally caused by a lack of insulin. In our products,
13:07.7
13:12.5
there are metabolic enzymes present that can aid in that.
13:12.6
13:17.4
we often hear people lamenting that they look older and more haggard, which explains the
13:17.5
13:22.3
surge of anti aging and antioxident products in the market these days.
13:22.4
13:27.2
BeauZyme contains very high concentration of SOD (Superoxide dismutase).
13:27.3
13:32.1
Products in the market can claim to be a SOD product if there are over 200000 active units per gram
13:32.2
13:37.0
and can claim health benefits such as whitening and antioxident benefits.
13:37.1
13:43.5
Our product has 970000 active units per gram, close to 5 times higher than the minimum required amount
13:43.6
13:48.4
hence it would show results faster and yield greater results in ridding our bodies of
13:48.5
13:53.3
free radicals. What are free radicals? They are
13:53.4
13:58.2
responsible for our aging and are strongly linked to cancer.
13:58.3
14:04.2
Actually, the human body creates free radicals too but other than the free radical our bodies create,
14:04.3
14:09.1
we also take in free radicals from external sources, such as eating fried food,
14:09.2
14:19.3
eating leftover food, drinking alcohol and eating processed food.
14:19.4
14:24.2
So free radicals are everywhere and are unavoidable. If the enzyme level in our bodies
14:24.3
14:29.1
are insufficient, it is easy for the free radical to accumulate and build up,
14:29.2
14:34.0
causing rapid aging and possibly even cancer. Let us take a look at
14:34.1
14:38.9
the SOD activity level in our product. This is iodine,
14:39.0
14:46.0
an oxidising agent. SOD is an antioxidant enzyme.
14:46.1
14:53.0
When we mix the 2 together, it can very quickly and easily be returned to it's original state.
14:53.1
14:57.9
I will add 3 drops into the beaker with Fortify,
14:58.0
15:03.7
and 3 drops into the other beaker as well.
15:03.8
15:08.0
Let us take a look.
15:08.1
15:13.1
This is the beaker of starch that we added Fortify to.
15:13.2
15:18.5
You can see that it neutralises the iodine
15:18.6
15:21.1
very quickly.
15:21.2
15:26.0
Now for the other beaker that does not have any Fortify in it,
15:26.1
15:30.9
regardless of how I mix it, it remains the same.
15:31.0
15:36.3
This beaker of starch without Fortify
15:36.4
15:41.2
shows that when we do not have sufficient enzymes in our bodies,
15:41.3
15:46.1
anything we eat, even if it is nutritious food or supplements would
15:46.2
15:53.0
not be absorbed as it cannot be broken down into smaller particles that the body can absorb.
15:53.1
15:57.9
Next, when you do not have sufficient metabolic enzymes in your body, you are more susceptible to
15:58.0
16:02.8
food poisoning as your intestinal tract is weaker. Hence we often hear that in a group of 10 diners,
16:02.9
16:07.7
3 diners might suffer from food poisoning while the others are fine. These 3 diners suffer from a lack of enzymes
16:07.8
16:12.6
and might have weaker immune system. But look at this beaker. It can not only
16:12.7
16:18.2
break down and transform the food you eat but also aid the body
16:18.3
16:24.4
in getting rid of free radicals and toxins. This is why scientists are increasingly
16:24.5
16:28.1
drawing the link between enzyme level and immunity these days.
16:28.2
16:33.2
By having sufficient enzymes in your body, the same tasks become less laborious.
16:33.3
16:38.1
A Nobel prize winner once claimed that there is no disease enzymes cannot cure.
16:38.2
16:43.0
Enzymes are extremely important to our bodies and selecting a quality enzyme with the following
16:43.1
16:47.9
is the key. As mentioned earlier, firstly it needs to be safe.
16:48.0
16:50.2
Anybody can eat it at any quantity.
16:50.3
16:55.1
Secondly it needs to be highly active. This refers to the effectiveness of the enzyme.
16:55.2
17:01.0
This simple experiment serves to show if an enzyme product is truly helping your body break down the food you eat.
17:01.1
17:08.9
Thirdly, it needs to be stable. Because we only want the enzyme to be activated after
17:09.0
17:13.8
we consume it hence the stablilty of the product is very important.
17:13.9
17:20.2
The BeauZyme range of products are all individually packed in sachets
17:20.3
17:25.1
unlike most other products in the market that come in a dark coloured bottle
17:25.2
17:30.0
as this is to prevent exposure to sun and light and might cause the enzyme to become unstable.
17:30.1
17:34.9
Most other products also indicate
17:35.0
17:38.8
that you should consume the product within one month of opening it
17:38.9
17:43.7
because when you open a bottle it mixes with the moisture in the air and the enzyme is activated.
17:43.8
17:48.6
This is why we have insisted on individual sachets for BeauZyme to ensure
17:48.7
17:53.5
that there is no chance of contamination or premature activation. Moreover, as we have shown earlier,
17:53.6
17:56.7
our product can even work when mixed with boiling hot water.
17:56.8
18:01.6
This is because the fibers of the natural ingredients are preserved during the manufacturing process
18:01.7
18:06.5
and this protects the enzyme from our stomach acid so it can be absorbed by our small intestines.
18:06.6
18:13.1
Simply put, BeauZyme is extremely stable. Without mixing it with water,
18:13.2
18:18.0
the activity level is perfectly preserved and it can even withstand high heat and stomach acid.
18:18.1
18:22.9
Lastly, we come to maturity period. By maturity period we refer to the fermentation period.
18:23.0
18:28.5
We often hear of friends or family making their own enzymes.
18:28.6
18:33.4
Most of them would ferment their enzmyes for a few weeks or months.
18:33.5
18:38.3
Our fermentation period is 5 years. Why does it take 5 years?
18:38.4
18:43.2
Because most enzymes would be able to perform the most basic digestive functions
18:43.3
18:47.1
but might not be able to provide metabolic enzymes or SOD
18:47.2
18:52.6
which is why we put our freshly produced enzymes into the biggest enzyme storage facility in Asia
18:52.7
18:58.5
for a period of 5 years for it to naturally form the high
18:58.6
19:03.4
levels of SOD, which is used to neutralise free radicals.
19:03.5
19:10.3
It also forms EGF, which is used to repair and rejuvenation cells,
19:10.4
19:15.9
and polypeptides, which aids in boosting our immune system
19:16.0
19:21.0
and metabolism. So a true quality enzyme product needs to contain these 4 points
19:21.1
19:25.9
Safety, activity level, stability and maturity period
19:26.0
19:28.6
In order for it to be beneficial to our bodies.
19:28.7
19:33.5
It has been my plesure sharing with you, thank you very much.
