Another exciting board meeting last night, highlights...next!

We recognized outstanding students and teachers from Frank Elementary and Kleb Intermediate at last night’s meeting.

The principals described our student honorees with words like relationship-driven and forever-learner and our teachers as having a contagious positive attitude.

Two new administrators were introduced as well and we are eager to watch them invest into our promise2purpose vision in their new roles.

A retirement proclamation was presented to the district financial advisor of 49 years, Gene Shepherd.

Thanks, Gene, for your great advice through the years!

Judge Dan Hinde, a 1989 Klein Forest graduate was honored as the alumnus of the month and we applaud him for the work he does on the bench and in the community.

The Stand Up for Texas Public Schools award was given this month to the Houston Food Bank...

...for their generous support programs like the Backpack Buddy Program that provides weekly food to more than 230 Klein students.

The Board heard a report on our continuous improvement efforts around the strategic priority, reimagine learning...

...including the launch of new pathways, improved student outcomes, and next steps for refreshing our curriculum.

Next week’s 90 Seconds will cover this priority in much more depth.

The Board also held a public hearing on the Financial Integrity Rating System.

I am pleased to report that for the 15th consecutive year, we received the highest rating of Superior, indicating that the state of Texas confirms that Klein ISD is a great steward of our community’s funds.

Finally, the Board passed a resolution celebrating our awesome principals in Klein ISD.

These forever learners are key to bringing our vision of promise to purpose to life.

Thank you, principals, for all you do every day for the 53,000 students of Klein ISD. It’s an honor to serve alongside you.
