The cornerstone and backbone of the Napsárkán Vineyard is the Sun.

We all know it is indispensable in life,

I associate it with fertility, creative power and energy, things that drive the universe and this playground called Earth.

On our logo you can see a dragon that's giving birth to the Sun, it is giving birth to fertility, life force and energy.

In the past the flowering of the grapevines was during summer solstice, during the days when the sun was highest in the sky.

Imagine all the sunshine June through September; grapevines use even more sun than wheat does.

We are harvesting pure sunshine and making from this - some in containers at home, some in wine cellars - liquid gold.

The heart of my land comes from an inheritence from my great-grandfather; he bought the vineyard behind me in 1928.

The vineyard was replanted by my grandmother and my father between 1968 and 1972; these - now 50-year-old grapevines - still loyally serve the family and our business.

I managed to purchase back some of the lands from my grandmother's sister Bajnóczy Vilma; this is where I planted Riesling vines.

Besides that we also have Riesling x Sylvaner as well as currently Hárslevelű, Riesling Italico together with Tramini Chardonnay and 0,5 ha of Pinot Noir.

I grow my vines environmentally consciously, I don't use herbicides or pesticides and fungicides that absorb into the ground, nor fertilizers.

I use Maria Thun's Biodynamic Calendar, and the implementation of Rudolph Steiner's Biodynamic Agriculture principles is also in progress.

I am a spiritual person and my wines mirror that,

Which manifests itself first of all in playing music in my cellars from the first harvest at the end of August (Riesling Sylvaner) to the fermentation time.

Formerly I played The Blue Danube by Johann Strauss during fermentation but since last year I have been using the Solfeggio Frequency,

Which is the frequency of love and the heart.

Besides these I transfer energy with amber and shungite crystals into the barrels as well as drawing protective symbols on them.
