The panel discussion will be chaired by James Millen at King’s College London. We also welcome questions from the audience.

Abstract
We live in an exciting era where the commercialisation of various quantum technologies is quickly becoming reality. However, there are a number of challenges beyond fundamental research that accompany the development and commercialisation of a product. In this panel discussion, which brings together experts from industry and academia, we ask the question: “How do you build and sell an optomechanical sensor?”. The discussion will focus on how to identify research as suitable for commercialisation and building a creative and productive environment for these research outputs. We will also discuss the question of marketing and selling the technology.
