Booklets or pamphlets

As readers will need to remove a booklet from the file to view it

booklets will be stored in acid-free envelopes

Multiple booklets from the same location in the file can be put in one envelope

Select an envelope large enough to hold the booklet with space for the tag hole

This envelope is a good size for this booklet

These images show the problems where the envelope was too small and booklet was tagged

Using a HB pencil, endorse the front of each booklet with the TNA reference number

If a booklet has no staples, endorse each page with the TNA reference

Use a HB pencil to label the envelope with the number of items and description of the contents

Punch a tag hole in the envelope, but not through the flap

The hole should be 2 cm from the top and left side

Tag the envelope into the file in the booklet's original place, and place the booklet inside it

Check the booklet can be easily removed without removing the tag
