The love story of Kurt Seit and Alexandra is based on real events. Narrated and written by the granddaughter of the main character. 
Kurt is a Crimean Tatar and a volunteer in the army of the Russian Empire, and Alexandra is a Russian noblewoman.
Perhaps this is what attracts in this film, fabulous love in difficult times, the collapse of an empire, war, devastation. All this brightens up the love of the main characters.
It seems that love is always able to do everything, to overcome separation, poverty, threats, crooked looks of people, betrayal.
But as often happens in life ... Everything ends not as rosy as we would like.
