November 27, 2020 – Joy Harjo is the nation's first ever native American Poet Laureate. And just this month, she was appointed to a third term beginning of September 2021. Harjo is only the second poet to be honored with a third term. In this clip, she talks about the story behind her poem “The Fight” before giving the audience at IAIA’s Museum of Contemporary Native Arts.
