Description:
In this video, we have trekked from our camp site at Deoriatal to Shyalmi Bugyal via Rohini Bugyal. This video is about our experience and how we enjoyed the trekking with fun and fear. Want enjoy a virtual journey to a place where there is no electricity, no noise pollution, light pollution, but a serene, peaceful, calm place then watch this video till the end. This video will take you there and make you feel like you are virtually teleported to this place. We started our walk early in the morning from our campsite Himalayan Bulbul, towards Jhandi Top. After walk few steps, we reached Deoriatal, witnesses beautiful reflection of Chaukhamba Peaks in Deorialtal. Spending few minutes there, we left behind Deoriatal. From there a lovely forest trail welcomes us. Full of rhododendron, oak and maple trees, the trail is really a picturesque one. After few minutes of wood walk from Deorialtal, we find a small clearing as we exit the forest. There is a watch tower. Anyone can climb at the top of it. From there the we witnessed majestic view of Chaukhamba. After few minutes of walk we reached a place, which is worthy for taking beautiful photos. In front of us, the Chandrashila peak is visible. Below, towards our right, we can see Sari village again. There is an open expanse and a view of the forested ridge. This is the logical route of the forest ridge trek to the base of Chandrashila Peak. After 20 minutes of climbing the ridge, we have reached the highest point of the ridge nearest to us. This hill-top has a flag post. This is Jhandi Dhar/ Jhandi Top. After spending few minutes at Jhandi Top, we again entered into world of dense forest. As we are traveling in April, the trail is blazing with red and pink flowers of rhododendron. Now and then, the Kedar Dome and Chaukhamba peaks peek at us through the trees on our left. As we are proceeding, the forest continues to thicken throughout the trek. If you thought the forests until now were dense, you haven’t seen the start of it. From there, we proceed and take the trail that descends rapidly and connects with the forest ridge below. The descent is sharp but pleasant. The flora of the region is stupendous. Now and then, we come across small shrines with bright yellow flags tied to them. These are all made by tourists and locals. One can use them as landmarks to ensure they are on the right trail. Walking leisurely downhill trail inside a generous cover of the forest, we are noticing that sun is also forgetting it's path to touch the forest floor. Sometimes, we are scrolling below the branch of a tree. After Walking for few more minutes, we reached Rohini Bugyal. This is vast green land . This meadows is a good pasture land by locals . After droning and taking some photos, we proceed towards our destination Shyamli Bugyal. We were almost running out of water. There was no shop, no rivulet where we can fill up water. The trail was steep ascent which made us more thirsty. After few minutes of walk, we again reach the top of the ridge, and from there it is steep descent. While descending the entire load comes int the knee. One should wear a knee cap as protective measures. But none of wearing any knee cap. Because of this, Ivy got a small knee injury. Tolerating the pain of the knee injury we reached our camp at Shalmi Bugyal. There was no electricity no people. It is a complete peaceful area, where we spent a night and moved towards Baniyankund. Enjoy our next video towards Baniyankund.
