What should your goals be this New Year? Well, instead of relying on clichéd resolutions that will be easy to forget in a few weeks,

center your goals around your dream for the future. Maybe you want to be a teacher, an electrician, an entrepreneur.

Maybe you want to step into your local political arena. Whatever it is, write it down—and then consider what steps you need to take to get there.

Make those the resolutions you work toward. And remember that your schedule is set by you, not others.
