I’ve wanted to do a sunthrush map for SO. LONG. but i never found the perfect song to use for a MAP with them. After encanto came out and i heard dos oruguitas, i knew i wanted to do something with it. Oruguitas means caterpillar, which is used a lot in the song, and after a specific bit of the AU, they are now mentioned as mariposas, (butterflies). The two main designs follow the lyrics’s change and seems to fit well! I also gave this map a bit of a cottagecore theme :)

About the AU -
After i saw the similar heartbreaks sunfall and thrushpelt had, let alone from the same bloodline, i came up with an AU that they bonded over that heartbreak and became a couple after. They were actually born/introduced in the same book.
In this au, they were best friends since kithood. But after responsibilities and love life of a warrior, they grew apart. Sunfall never got to tell his crush, moonflower, how he felt before she died, and thrushpelt never got to tell bluefur how he felt about her before finding out oakheart had stolen her heart. Sunstar and thrushpelt grow farther apart until they sit down together and talk, finally reconnecting after so long and bonding over their similar heartbreaks. This brings them together and they realize they liked each other this whole time, and that they would rather be mates. Bluefur notices their blossoming relationship and confesses to thrushpelt and sunstar about the whole story of her love life and her kits, and she would like to be in riverclan with whats left of her family. Sunstar and thrushpelt of course let her and wish her a lovely goodbye. Sunstar makes thrushpelt his new deputy, and after dying from a dog attack, thrushpelt becomes the new leader and makes rosetail, one of his best friends, his deputy. He eventually dies of sickness and sees sunstar in starclan, and after so long, they finally reunite.
