JEE Main 2018 is one of the top engineering entrance exams conducted PAN India. This video will give you a gist of this entrance exam.

For admissions into the top engineering institutes and the prestigious IIT's and NIT's that is funded by the government of India, JEE is a mandatory exam that is being conducted by the Central Board Of Secondary Education (CBSE).

It is a National level examination conducted across India and some overseas countries. The exam pattern and the eligibility criteria are decided by the CBSE. JEE main is an eligibility test for attending the JEE advanced. Only those who have cleared both can apply for IIT, ISM Dhanbad and IISC Bangalore. Gaining good marks in the Main alone might help in applying for the NIT's across India. Also, JEE is not only for B.E/B.Tech, but for B.Arch and related architecture courses.

JEE Main examination is conducted once every year in the month of April both in online and offline(pen and paper). The results are announced in the beginning or mid-May, after which the candidate can apply using JoSAA for the college that he/she wishes. Candidates those who clear the cut-off for their respective category are allowed to write JEE advanced.
