Table of Contents: Chapter One - The Current Definition 4:17 Chapter Two - Models of Perception 10:28 Chapter Three - How Do We Know If A Belief Is True? 16:21 Chapter Four - Bias & Belief 20:34 Chapter Five - Strategies For Survival 24:06 Chapter Six - Rebuttals 26:18 Chapter Seven - Science & Religion 29:22 Chapter Eight - Locating Religion 32:42 Post Script 35:40 Some After thoughts: To disprove my claim that "religion is any strategy for survival derived of sacred values" all you would have to do is show that the way religious beliefs form is different from the way secular ideologies form. Understanding how we process information as human beings, my model has demonstrated that they are the same process -- differing only in the metaphors and narratives they choose to sacralize. Thanks to science we are gradually developing narratives and metaphors that more closely represent reality. But they are still interpreted through the same functions of internalizing information. Despite our great achievements, we are still only adapting narratives that give survival value to our in groups. I'll get into this with the tribalism video. This video on religion was laying the foundation for the tribalism essay. Thanks you for watching.
