As an Iraqi, I'd like to use my expertise

In mathematics and physics to benefit my country Iraq

And, this isn't really something that's strange to Iraq

If you look at its history,

All of the previous scientists in the Abbasid era

In the previous eras, that are of Iraqi descent, have done so

And I hope to continue their legacy

Advanced physics and mathematics

Simplified by an outstanding Iraqi teenager

In a book he published on advanced mathematics

My name is Hamza Alsamraee

I am an Iraqi-American, living in Virginia

My interests are in physics and mathematics

And I'm a senior in high school

As a kid, I looked up to the likes of Einstein and Stephen Hawking

When I began studying advanced calculus

Which is a field with many applications in physics

In subfields like relativity and quantum physics

I was in middle school. But, this topic is not typically seen until the undergraduate level

So, I didn't have much help in learning this material

Moreover, the books I read were very expensive

Even reaching up to 100 dollars for an E-book

The books were also very difficult to learn from

Its authors imagined writing this book alongside a course, which I didn't have as a young self-learner

So I aimed to write a book to change this

Such that if someone like me wanted to learn this material, he wouldn't encounter my problems

As he would have an accessible book to learn from

At his age, this is beyond anything I've seen, witnessed, had experience with

He asked me to write a little bit about the book

And he had a date in mind: November 29th

He wanted it done before then, because it was his 17th birthday

And that's what he wanted to do-publish the book on his 17th birthday

Absolutely phenomenal

This book's goal wasn't financial

As this book's price is very low, especially in developing countries such as India

In India, the E-book's price was only 6 dollars

And the hardcopy costs less than 20 dollars

Barely covering for printing and publishing costs

My goal in writing this book was to share knowledge and calculus

Such that I can benefit the largest group possible

I think the nicest part is the conversational way that he presents the material

And it is far beyond where we are in BC Calculus, Multivariable Calculus

It takes things accurately to a level that, certainly most students don't think that deeply about things

I published it three months ago, and it sells between 10 to 20 books a day

Now, the book has sold over 1500 copies

Hamza simplified the material in a way that is readable to

Anyone his age group or beyond

And his excitement comes through in every chapter, in every example

The book was completely written by me

I had an editor by the name of Stephanie Sursi

And I recieved professional guidance from Dr. Ovidiu Furdui

Who was a Romanian professor that wrote a similar book five years ago

This professor helped me by giving me feedback and commentary that improved the book's quality

When I was in eigth grade, I received the award for Academic Excellence, presented by previous president Barack Obama

This is an award that awards academic excellence in 8th grade students

I have many projects in the upcoming years

Mainly in regards to my book, and mathematics and physics in general

I currently have an Instagram mathematics page with over 50,000 followers

I would like to expand my presence by making an Arabic version of the page

Such that I can help math and physics enthusiasts despite the language barrier

Second, I am working on translating my textbook to Arabic

As well as other languages, such that it is available to the entire world

Not just those who are fluent in English
