BPSU ETSO has envisioned that the people of the community, the focus of the University’s extension services program, can be uplifted from helplessness to self – reliance, from ignorance to increased awareness, from indifference to positive involvement, and from aimlessness to commitment. In view of the current situation brought about by the global pandemic that has significantly challenged the conduct and delivery of extension programs, BPSU ETSO valiantly responded to the call of the time and the call for uninterrupted public service. The ETSO’s Continuity Plan is now in full swing. The overall strategy of BPSU Extension and Training Services Group is encapsulated in the university acronym – BPSU: “Building Bridges Through Digital Platforms” “People Empowerment Amidst Global Pandemic” “Sustainable and Comprehensive Programs to Address Community Needs” “Uniting Institutions and People Organizations for Common Good” Taking concrete action on its plan, the ETSO conducted Series of meetings and consultations with the university administration, extensionists, and stakeholders, Annual Program of activities were reviewed and recalibrated, Status of projects prior to pandemic and during the pandemic were reviewed to guide leaders for intervention, Trainings were provided to extensionists and ETSO personnel on how to adjust with the new normal, Purchase of necessary technology and online platforms, and Shift to online delivery mode of extension programs. At the end of 2020, ETSO has reached its targets which is one of the highest in Central Luzon. Thousands of individuals have benefitted in the relentless delivery of programs and projects in Bataan and across central Luzon.
