Frantically writing the description as we are at the house right now pointing to where specific hardware goes and our blinds guy shows up and I’m chatting with him and he makes a passive comment about “if you can’t spend 30 minutes working on something what do you have time for?" And it struck me. WHY AM I OPERATING FROM A PLACE OF RUSH. For who? Why? If i don't have an extra 30 minutes then maybe my plate is too full. Or maybe I am being too hard on myself. Why is the level I am demanding of myself not allotting an extra 30 minutes. literally half of a lunch break to make sure I give myself time to breath and not feel like I am behind or submitting "okay" work. Jesus frequently left the disciples to spend time getting HIs mind and heart right. He was always on time, never late. He operated out of peace not out of stress. Let's walk in peace and not let the speed of the world dictate our mental state. But let's let our walk with God dictate our state of mind!
