While dancing to the beat of traditional Anishinaabe sounds, Classic Roots finds his inspiration from his Indigenous culture. Each performance is a mix of heart from the Boreal North, blended with his brand of Electronica and pow wow techno, which earned him the Best Pop CD at the Indigenous Music Awards for his debut EP.
Aki Studio is a performing arts studio located in Toronto, on the land of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy and the Wendat First Nation, who have a Treaty relationship with Canada. Aki Studio is one of Canada’s many cultural spaces highlighted through the Connected Music Series.
