This classic special, which won an Emmy for Outstanding Children's Program, is about Big Bird's desire to know how Santa Claus gets all his presents down the chimney, fearing that if Jolly Old St. Nicholas can't do it, no one would get presents. Songs include "Keep Christmas with You", "I Hate Christmas", "True Blue Miracle." In its first year on the air, this special had an unofficial commercial television rival (A SPECIAL SESAME STREET CHRISTMAS) which aired for one day only (December 8, 1978, five days after this debuted)
