Hi! Today we are going to make a motorsport amusement park,

We'll hook the Justy to the Audi,

And the plan is to start spinning around like we were on a carousel.

We haven't done anything like this before, this is going to be the first test.

In theory it should work as the car is all wheel drive, all four wheels are going to spin, I can correct its movement to some degree,

And the Audi will be driven by Tomi Magyar, we'll tighten up the rope, I'll start a burnout,

He'll then begin to back up and as he starts turning with the car, I'll get onto the outside line with the Justy,

And draw an approx. 10m radious circle. So this is going to be our first test!

[Inaudible] Let's stop!

This... Hah, this went easy!

I had to go into full lock with the steering,

We'd need way more inertia and I think a longer rope for me to start spinning without turning my steering wheel.

It was pretty good for a first try!

It wasn't any special for a first try.

Something's holding the Audi back.

Something in the electronics, or I dunno...

Why?
I was on full throttle.

Really?
Yeah, I could have done it faster too.

The Justy, it's too powerful.

Maybe. It couldn't have been the handbrake, right, because...

It doesn't work anyway!

Okay, then. But what the fuck was it then?

I don't know, it could be weak.

When I'm flooring it it goes like duh duh duh duh.

For a first try it was pretty successful, but it's really eating tires a lot,

This concrete and there's lots of dilation cuts,

It mostly wears down the front ones, after these couple circles, we went through a front set.

These ones have about 3 more laps in them and then they're gone,

We won't try again just yet, because we wanna drive a bit around around this track with the Justy.

And the Audi didn't really like it, the gearbox overheated,

Tomi was driving with full throttle in reverse, that was the max for the car.

Obviously, like this, when 4 wheels are driving forward, this other car can put down some serious pulling power.

The Audi wasn't made for this either. It's holding up surprisingly well!

They took it for a cooldown lap, then we'll start driving this car around here,

And at the end of the day we'll try once again, a little bit faster this time if we can,

Our speed depends on the Audi, we should try it with a longer rope too, we might be able to get to a higher speed.

But I think it's not too shabby for our first try.

We have some overheating issues! Now that I came off after our second or whichever lap,

It started creeping up to 90-91C and above, even though I completely came off the gas.

The MaxxECU reported that heat was too much, the fan is going. I don't know what the issue could be, but we'll look into it in a sec.

As usual, let's take a look a carVertical report, this time about a Suzuki Swift,

One similar to the one we used in our campaign in '18.

Here it says this vehicle has been crashed before, produced in 2018,

From Germany it came to Hungary in late 2020.

The mileage is 27,000 (kms), here it shows the damage occured in Germany,

And then the photos, uploaded in 03.2020.

The front left got damaged, the crash doesn't look too bad, airbag deployed, nothing else got damaged.

And here it is in late 2020, in December, the car in repaired condition.

Looks perfectly fine!

Luckily it was just some air in the cooling system, so that the water pump couldn't circulate the coolant.

That was all our problem, that's why water temp went up drastically. We got the air out of system and now we'll move forward.

We drove a couple laps with the car and our water problem is back,

At the rear, there was pressure iside the system at the cap, so it let water out there,

Here, behind the motor it blew off a clamp off of one of the hoses.

Thee's so much pressure in the system! It seems, we are developing some head gasket issues.

Now we'll take care of this issue temporarily, they went out for parts.

After that we'll drive a bit more, I don't wanna completely kill this engine, but since we're here anyway, I wanna do some driving.

Somebody asked in a comment under the CLK video if it's possible to do something about these 722 gearboxes so that they don't change gears so slow.

I said yes it is and now we're sitting a car like that, in Tomi's car,

Which has this controller, it effectively overrides the factory gearbox computer and it becomes almost as fast as a modern day auto tranny.

Tomi, would you tell us more?

Yes, hi! This is a custom transmission controller, it is called OFGear,

It not only overrides the factory gearbox controller, it pretty much replaces it.

So my factory gearbox controller is not plugged in right now.

You can plug and play fit it into this car, comes with the 722.6 gearbox's plug,

Some smaller modifications were neccessary, because for example the shifter is from a newer style Merc.

The factory one for this is where you have 1-2-3-4 and then D,

I wanted mine to have D and then be able to change gears to the sides,

I connected the paddle shifters first, but because I do drift too,

I tried it a couple of times and when the steering wheel is turning...
You can't control it anymore...

It is good for the show, nice to be able to shift from here.
Well, if you drive on a highway you can click on there,

But when you're driving sideways, you have to be able to...
Exactly, I need this when I'm drifting.

We had wire it up and program it, you can buy this controller from me too,

You can put it into any model of cars, what's important is that the car's engine should be able to start without a gearbox signal.

Becuase if the car needs the factory gearbox control module to be present for it to start, it's harder to solve then.

In this case we tried unplugging the controller, the car started fine without it. I said perfect, we'll put the OFGear in this.

And I think it's been like this for 4 years with the same gearbox.

And the inside of the box is factory, untouched, this is an OM606 with a big pump, a huge turbo. What's the torque on this one?

I think it's about 680Nm (500ftlb) to the wheels, but it varies a lot because the automatic transmission cheats the measurements a lot.

Anyway, between 600-700Nm for sure.

The car is very convincing, let's go for a drive.

It really takes off!

It really does go hard! But the problem is, the wheels are spinning, so we can't even hear it shift.

What should I do then? Go slower?

Yes, do that. Don't fully send it, just to show the shifting time itself.

And here's this little screen, it belongs to the controller?

Yes, but you can also change the program in here,

Even while driving, I don't know how good it can be seen now.

The shift time and things like that?

Where to shift, and a lot of other things. It's hard to navigate it while sitting up.

You can go into any of the menus, you can read the codes with it, I have a speed sensor error.

Which is integrated into the gearbox, it is using that now. The vendor recommends not to use that one.

I should hook up an external sensor to it. You can do anything both from here and program it from a laptop too, just like a MaxxECU or other standalone ECU.

All you need is more steering angle! And to be able to sometimes clutch kick to correct it.

That's why I'll stay manual with the CLK. You can mess around with an auto,

But to really push the car to the edge the way you want it, you need a clutch!

That's correct, however I've seen drifters abroad come up with a solution to clutch.

I guess they're using an electric switch and when they press the clutch in, it puts the gearbox into neutral for a second,

Back in the day Black smoke and some other drifters used this gearbox. So it is doable, but this one isn't.

It's a good car otherwise.

I hope the Justy will soon be good again too!

That's what it takes to kill a Suzuki!

And it's a lot!

I think it blew the headgasket.

That's it for today, the Justy's stock head gasket only lasted so far. Some of the cylinders weren't even running it's so bad.
