It was a very interesting day| my first day at Cisco

I came in...

and I didn't have an office.

They were growing out of control

400 people there

And so the put me learning at the telephone closet.

Back-to-the-back can hear the clicks going on.

And while we had tremendously talented leaders at Cisco at that time

The leaders didn't like each other. [BACKGROUND NOISE]

And it became obvious to me at the first day

that leaders didn't like each other very much

It became obvious that probably several

wouldn't want to stay in Cisco very long.

And then I'm sitting in this telephone... booth, literally almost

and I'm hearing the numbers switch through the exchange

and I'm thinking to myself: "I've made a mistake"
