Forgetfulness. Forgetfulness is very common in this condition.

They are unable to recognise their family members, close friends or relatives.

Forgetting Birthdays or wishing on the wrong dates

Two weeks ago, I had a call from a senior citizen who had been wishing me my birthday for the past 25 years.

They wished me on the 30th of April.

This 84 years old person who never missed it was the first one to wish right in the morning at 7:30,

wished me on a wrong day. I talked with them, asked them why they think it's my birthday today ?

I realized they were showing the signs of Dementia.

Forgetting things is one of the first sign of Dementia. It's a very subtle sign.

Some people recognise it some people fail to do so. Signs of they brain indicating us about ageing.

Inability to find the right words. Inability to recognise toilets.

They forget their recent activities. Forget who they were dialling, call the wrong person and think of them as the right one.

They forget they are on a call with create misunderstandings etc.
