I try out an all abilities hiking path near Lochinver, Assynt, Scotland. As a mobility impaired lover of the outdoors, I talk a little about why trails like this are so great, and how they provide me with a safe and relaxed way to get exercise in nature... Despite me feeling poorly, we go on to camp in a little known cove on the Sutherland Coast. Seal and sunset watching ensue... Plus we drop in to some of the lovely coastal settlements of the area.

I’m trying to talk more about what it’s like as a disabled person accessing and enjoying the outdoors. Not because I’m special, but because I know I’m not the only one out there and coverage of these sorts of topics seem rare on YouTube.

I’m Nicki, I live the the Highlands of Scotland, I’m an artist, outdoors lover and have a number of rare neurological conditions which affect everything from my heart rate, blood pressure, and mobility, to how long I can stay out of bed (my body’s basically kind of allergic to being in an upright position, and I live with a lot of pain).
