Description:
This video will teach you how to produce a good /r/. If you are someone that says "wabbit" for "rabbit" this video should help you. Practice once a day to master your /r/ sound. Once you are comfortable with set 1, move on to the other sets 2, 3, 4... The progress will depend on the following factors: 1. how motivated you are to master your /r/ 2. how often you practice -- ideally 5 days per week 3. where you practice -- ideally in multiple environments (school, home, work) 4. how long you practice each day -- it needs to be a minimum of 10 minutes. Research supports 300 positive repetitions per day. 5. 300 POSITIVE repetitions -- If you are practicing with the video and really focusing on your tongue placement and not just rushing the movements, you should be able to make great progress. It won't help you to practice with the video without the right placement...so you shouldn't rush the process. 6. If you are a child - you should ask for Adult supervision -- ideally a teacher or parent can sit with you initially or do check ins to give you feedback on you performance. If you have practiced the video for a few weeks and are making progress but need other practice words, I can make another movie. There are different positions you can say the /r/. The video I made basically practices /r/ in the initial position. Send me a note and I can share other movies with you for /r/ practice in different positions.
