Project Tomorrow's Speak Up 2016 is a national effort to collect student, teacher, librarian, administrator, parent and community input on how technology can improve education.

This annual project has reported on the views of more than 4.5 million participants, giving school districts...

...an authentic, unfiltered view on education, technology, professional development as well.

Last year, Klein ISD was the top participating school district...

...and also the top performing district for both administrator and teacher participation.

16 Klein ISD campuses also received the Speak Up Loud & Clear designation that's awarded to the top participating campuses across the country.

The 2015 data from the survey showed us that students use YouTube to help them with their homework.

86% of high schoolers have a mobile device...

1 in 5 is very interested in learning how to code...

...and students want access to mobile learning.

Parents responding to the survey indicated strongly that the effective use of technology in school is important to student success.

Teachers are using more digital content than ever before...

...and believe using technology helps with differentiating instruction for students.

Klein ISD uses the data derived from this study to help determine the course of digital instruction for our students.

This year, we plan to use more of the provided data in our Community and Student Engagement report that measures school districts on 8 areas not related to the standardized tests.

The Speak Up 2016 survery is available through mid-January.
