মরুভূমি শব্দটার সাথে যেন মিশে আছে বালুময় জনমানবহীন এক বিস্তীর্ণ প্রান্তরের ছবি । কিন্তু মরুভূমি  শুধু বালুময় নয়, হতে পারে বরফে ভরা, পাথর বা নুড়ি পাথরে ভরা বিস্তীর্ণ কোন এক এলাকা। মূলত ৫ শতাংশের কম জীববৈচিত্র্য কোন অঞ্চলে থাকলে তাকে মরুভূমি বলা হয়। সে হিসেবে মরুভূমির মধ্যে পড়ে আফ্রিকার সাহারা মরুভূমি, এন্টার্টিকার বিস্তীর্ণ বরফঅঞ্চল আর বলিভিয়ার সালার দে উয়ুনি, যেটা কিনা পৃথিবীর বৃহত্তম লবণ মরুভূমি।মরুভূমির পরিবেশ দিনে সাধারণত গরম এবং শুষ্ক থাকে। তবে ঠাণ্ডা, রুক্ষ আর লবণাক্ত কোন বিশালাকার এলাকাকেও মরুভূমিই বলা হয়ে থাকে। বন্ধুরা, এই ভিডিওতে আমরা জানব মরুভূমির সৃষ্টির রহস্য ও দিন দিন পৃথিবী মরুভূমিতে পরিণত হওয়ার কারণ। তাহলে, বন্ধুরা শুরু করা যাক আজকের ভিডিও।
