Hello, my name is Paige Foreman.

I'm a sophomore.

I'm pursuing a double major in English and Secondary Education. Minoring in Philosophy.

My goal for the future is to become a writer.

I love writing so of course I would major in English to take courses related to writing.

The Honor program has really helped me by allowing me to pursue an Honor Contract in my English classes.

This allows me to focus on specific things.

For example, if i want to focus on religious literature, an Honor contract will give me that opportunity.

Also for my Capstone project, I plan to work on a creative project like a novel.

This is what I really want for my Capstone.

After graduation I plan to attend Baltimore University and get two Masters degrees in Deaf Education and Creative Writing.

Then I want to continue and receive my Ph.D.

I want to become a college english professor and a novelist.

The Honor Program is really helping me achieve these goals.

In the future I want to become a writer, so what do I want to write about?

I think I want to write mostly write young adult fiction and middle school fiction.

Recently, I wrote a book about an every day girl who lives on a sunflower farm.

It tells the story of her life and the struggles she faces.

The girl tends to have a negative attitude on life but later in the story she begins to have a more positive outlook on life.

I enjoy writing stories like these when writing middle school ficiton.

I also enjoy writing young adult fiction.

I'm also beginning to write a young adult science fiction novel about a guy who becomes a robot.

I also enjoy writing poetry. As well as song writing. I enjoy writing everything.

I'm involved in many activities on the Gallaudet campus.

Firstly, I'm on the Gallaudet Swim Team.

I'm not the best but I enjoy swimming and I swim some tough events during competition.

I compete in the Butterfly, and the 400 Individual Medley to name a few. I enjoy it.

I also write newspaper articles for the school paper called "Buff and Blue."

I mainly write about entertainment such as upcoming or past plays or performances that happened on campus.

I'm also involved in the sorority called Delta Zeta because I really want to be involved in social events on campus.

For example: I enjoy doing community service but it's really hard to find.

So I joined a Sorority to help me with this specific area that I'm weak in.

Alot of people give Gallaudet the reputation of being a party school but I don't think that's true.

All colleges are party schools in their own way but remember that you make the choice on whether or not to be involved in parties. It's your decision.

You have to shift your focus to other things such as Buff and Blue, Swim Team, Honors, and other activities.
