The Peace of the Lord, brothers and sisters!

So in the Bible it says that there was a great river that surrounded the Garden and divided in four, right?!

So the Bible calls them Pishon, Gihon, Euphrates and Hidequel.

I was curious, as you are, and I went to look for old sources.

An old source gave me valuable information and I would like to share it with you.

Of course, this information is not mine, but that of someone who was a priest in Jerusalem, lived from the year 37 A.D. to A.D. 103.

Therefore, he was born very close to the time of Jesus' death and was one of the witnesses of the apostles, right?!

Now the book that I'm going to show you is this one, it's called “History of the Hebrews”, okay?!

This book was written by Josephus, he was the son of a jewish priest, he was also a jewish priest, and his mother was a descendant of the Hasmonean royal house.

So he is from an important family, he had a zeal and started to write the history of the Hebrews.

This book, look at its size... I'm reading this book, and it's a huge book.

After the Scriptures, and then I will also consider after the apostolic fathers, he will be the most reliable source that we have.

Of course, apostolic fathers don't talk much about ancient history, right?! [They speak] more about doctrinal issues, but this book is precious.

Of course, you will not have it as an inspired book, but it is something important and that's a tip for you.

Now, what does Josephus share that I found interesting to pass on to you?

When you look here you will see that it says that the river Giom, mentioned in the Bible, surrounds the land of Cuxe, right?!

The land of Cuxe is Ethiopia, okay?! This Giom river is the Nile River, an important river that still exists today.

the length of the Amazon River is smaller, so it doesn’t lose in size, it loses in quantity of water,

because the Amazon River, brothers, we are blessed, right?! Because the Amazon is a river that puts all other rivers “in the shade”.

You can join all the other rivers that come after it in the list of the 10 largest rivers,

because [even combining] the first six, according to the research I did, the Amazon River still has more water than the next six largest rivers combined.

The Nile River, in extension, is the longest river in the world and it still exists today,

and the Nile River in Egypt is considered a god by the Egyptians.

I believe that the Nile River was even longer than it is today,

probably its course was longer or had tributaries that reached the land of Cuxe.

The Tigre River. Historians show the Hidequel River, which the Bible mentions as the Tigris River,

they have a certain unanimity to say that the Hidequel river is the Tigre river.

And Josephus calls it the Tigre river and also Diglath, that information is here [in the book].

The Pishon River. Look how interesting, the Pishon River, as it is called by the Bible,

Josephus points it out as the Ganges river, which goes to India.

The Bible points to the land of Havilah, but gives no direction as to where the land of Havilah is and Josephus points it as the territory of India.
