Hi everyone, I'm making a short presentation of steps I take when forging CU-MAI

I'll add explanations during each step and I hope it will be helpful.

The first step is to prepare steel and copper pieces.

I've used 1075 for external layers and 80CRV2 for the core.

and of course the two layers of COPPER

I prefer to cut copper pieces a few millimeters smaller than steel

This will help me later when I weld them

First fitting test of the pieces.

It is very important to clean well all the components.

STAY CLOSE FOR THE SURPRIZE!

Bad habit to strike the welding arc on the vise, don't do it!!

The copper is melting during the welding process and sparks around. Be very careful!! I don't have much welding experience.
