This is a walkthrough of the new HARDI AEON CENTURA LINE trailed sprayer
00:09.4
00:18.6
This is HARDIs take on the cropsprayer for the future, and at the moment it's available in two sizes which is 4200 l and 5200 l
00:18.7
00:35.4
The sprayer is built for high speed, which the low center of gravity, suspended drawbar, new steering system and the AutoTerrain boom height system all contribute towards
00:35.5
00:42.6
The suspended drawbar is furthermore equipped with a full integrated hydraulic support leg.
00:42.7
00:47.5
Standard equipment is the K80 low flange on the drawbar
00:47.6
00:56.5
When the support leg is raised or lowered, it doesn't push from side to side, but directly up or down, which makes attachment very easy.
00:56.6
01:07.3
Rinsetanks are placed in the front of the sprayer, on both sides, each contains 280 l which gives a total capacity of 560 l, and they are connected so both are filled up at the same time
01:07.4
01:12.2
The well known HARDI 464 diaphragm pump is fitted to the sprayer.
01:12.3
01:29.5
The robust and easy to service pump can be run dry without taking any damage. In case of a diaphragm fails, the water will leak out of the bottom of the pump. Replace the diaphragm, grease and then you're ready to go again.
01:30.9
01:39.6
This sprayer is fitted with the TWIN spraying system. The hydraulic pump to run this system is located right behind the diaphragm pump.
01:39.7
01:45.8
Here at the front we have our pressure gauge along with the gauge which monitors the suction filter
01:47.8
02:04.0
This is a full digital sprayer, so when we open this cover, the lights in the cover turns on automaticlly and then we can operate the sprayer from this position
02:04.1
02:22.2
The sprayer has been given our new electronics platform, the SMARTCOM, along with our newest ISOBUS controller, the HC 9700. For operation of the Fluidsystem, our new HC8000 Fluidbox is fitted.
02:22.3
02:37.7
The reason why we have changed to the HC 9700, which is a Topcon display, is because the Topcon display is better at sending and receiving data
02:37.8
03:03.1
That means its prepared for something called agrirouter, which is like a digital warehouse where data can be stored. Other people, like your consultant, can upload the data to the warehouse for you to retrieve.
03:04.3
03:26.0
The well know I-functions such as AutoWash, AutoFill and AutoAgitation are standard. Furthermore it's ready for application maps, which can be sent/received via agrirouter
03:26.1
03:35.5
Controlling nozzles individually with the AutoNozzleControl system is necessary in order to spray with the application map
03:35.6
04:01.8
Our SMARTCOM is delivered with a diagnostic system, which allows the technican to connect his PC to the sprayer and check for any errors. Furthermore the system is prepared for telemetry, which allows HARDI to connect to the sprayer and have a look at any errors which could occur.
04:01.9
04:17.5
As mentioned before this sprayer is fully digital. Here in the WorkZone, there is no valves which needs to be operated manually. We control the sprayer through the HC8000 fluidbox.
04:17.6
04:31.9
The FluidBox has many functions. When operated, the screen will give you an overview of where it's taking the water from and where it will flow to.
04:32.0
04:53.3
In the "Filling" overview section, you can enter how much area you need to cover and your application rate, then the system will calculate how much water is needed to do that job.
04:53.4
05:04.0
A calculator is integrated in the FluidBox, so there is no need to have a physical one in order to do your calculations.
05:04.1
05:16.7
This is the WorkZone where contamination can happen, so to keep the operater safe, the FluidBox has push-buttons, so it can be operated with gloves on
05:16.8
05:45.5
Then we have our TurboFiller with two included rinse nozzles, to empty out both small and large containers. It's operated on the manifold located to the right of the TurboFiller itself. A small lance is also located there to supply fresh water to rinse out the containers.
05:45.6
05:50.4
To the left of the TurboFiller, our storage locker is located. Here you store your PPE. Fresh water is available here as well, in order to wash your hands.
05:50.5
05:57.7
Suction and pressure-empty is available to the right of the TurboFiller. This is also here where the Rinse tanks are filled from.
05:58.6
06:23.3
Often we get the question on why you can't fill your rinsetanks from the suction side, using the fluid pump, and this is due to errors can happen where you suck water from the main tank and possibly contaminate your fresh water.
06:23.4
06:32.9
The sprayer has smooth surfaces which is easy to clean, and furthermore furfills the EU homologation standard.
06:33.0
06:43.4
The EU homologation standard requires attachments to have smooth surfaces, so the risk of "catching" a pedestrian or a cyclist in transport is eliminated.
06:45.2
07:09.9
The ComfortTrack wheel steering system. The benefits of this system is that the sprayer can steer while the boom still is in transport position.
07:10.0
07:26.5
On our Commander sprayer the entire rear axle was turning and the boom follows, making it ideal in the rows, but doesn't allow the steering to work when the boom is folded into transport position.
07:26.6
07:46.5
The disadvantage to this system is that if you fit very wide wheels, while having a very narrow track width, you will struggle with the turning radius.
07:46.6
07:49.6
This is the compromise one must make when developing new systems.
07:49.7
08:08.5
The paralift on the AEON has been smaller and more narrow compared to the Commander version, but we've managed to keep the same strength and stiffness.
08:08.6
08:15.0
The mudguards have been made to follow the wheels with the aid of hydraulics.
08:16.4
08:29.5
The sprayer has an hydraulic suspended axle. It's a progressive suspension which is load dependent, so the suspension adapts to how much weight you add in the tank.
08:31.5
08:44.5
Pneumatic 2-line brakes incl. parking is fitted to the sprayer, which will be mandatory in many countries from 2025 on agricultural attachments.
08:44.6
08:55.4
The brakes fulfill the EU homologation standard, so the brake capacity is raised or lowered depending on the total load.
08:56.6
09:19.4
This is our TWIN 3.1 boom. Two fans on the boom is powered by the oil pump, which allows us to create 30 m/s under the air rail.
09:19.5
09:43.4
The principle is that we have an conventional nozzle which creates the droplets, then we add the airstream about 35cm below the nozzle. The air then force the liquid in whatever direction we want.
09:43.5
09:48.3
We can compensate for the wind, allowing the operator to drive out in conditions where conventional spraying isn't possible.
09:48.4
10:04.2
The air generated by the TWIN system also opens up the crop, allowing us to make sure we get the perfect application and therefore minimizing the amount of water and chemicals needed to do the job.
10:04.3
10:16.6
The boom has hydraulic anti-yaw dampening, so the forward- and backwards movements generated by acceleration/braking etc. is minimized significantly
10:16.7
10:26.1
In the end of each folding cylinder, there is an extra cylinder fitted which absords these yaw movements.
10:26.2
10:37.2
Nitrogen dampers are fitted, and pre-loaded, to fit the specific boom width, in order to complete the absorption
10:39.0
10:54.0
The boom is fitted with the AutoTerrain boom mangement system. A total of 5 sensors is placed on the boom gives perfect height control, and even allows to boom to go into negative tilt (4°).
10:55.0
11:03.3
The suspension is placed on the paralift here, to keep the boom stable.
11:03.4
11:29.6
Here on the other side we have technical aspect of the sprayer. As the sprayer is fully digital, there is no need for the valves to sit on the opposite side of the sprayer.
11:29.7
11:38.0
It's convenient to have all 4-way valves, pressure regulation valve and filters close to eachother and accessible.
11:38.7
11:50.7
This model we have here have the optional flexcapacity pump fitted which is hydraulic operated. This is needed if you require high doses at high speeds. The pump will be connected on the pressure side.
11:52.1
11:59.9
Then it's possible to run 700-800 l/ha at speeds around 15 km/h without any issues.
12:00.0
12:18.1
Our SMARTCOM units are placed here. It's based on units, so if the need should come for extra memory or processing power, we can always add more units to keep up with the demand.
12:18.2
12:23.0
Just like in real computers, where you can add extra hardware, for example RAM, to keep up with the power needed.
12:23.6
12:33.2
The future is set for the sprayers to become more and more complex with a lot of automated processes, and this requires such units as we have here.
12:34.8
12:47.0
When the sprayer has a TWIN boom, the oil tank is placed here. If the sprayer has an conventional boom, this room will be used as an extra locker to store equipment.
12:47.1
12:51.9
Again here, as on the other side, the lights in the cover will switch on automaticlly when the cover is opened up.
