There's no one in Canada making modern Filipino fashions like Caroline Mangosing, founder and creative director of Filipiniana fashion brand Vinta Gallery. But her journey to building a sustainable, independent, inclusive fashion brand that honours her culture was definitely *not* linear.

A one-time child fit model who dropped out of fashion school in favour of pursuing photography, Caroline became the executive director of a Filipino cultural centre in Toronto before, as she describes it, "a door opened" that took her back to fashion.
