This session was short clip of our #spring #carp #fishing session. 3 hours #carpfishing at our local #dam in #southafrica. We have found that hanging two rods near each other seems to bring the fish on. We are also finding that the carp bite alarm with swinger is yielding catches more often then rods with normal bite alarms. The only thing we can think is that it is more sensitive than the other alarms so we are able to pick up the bites faster, not sure though. 
#carpfishingtips we can give you are as follows:
1. cast the rods near each other in parallel unless this is a new dam then you need to cast on rod in the margins and one rod elsewhere unless you see fish swimming/showing.
2. Always use one strong smell and one sweet bait on the hook or hairrig. You can also put strong smell bait on one hook and sweet on another hook. This tip from africanoutdoors has been working well for us.
3. Use bol dip sparingly but again use one sweet and one strong smell.
strong smell means cinnamon, almond, eucalyptus, garlic, cheese, musk etc.
sweet smell means honey, strawberry, tutti fruitti, etc.
4. once you hook into a fish and its the only fish you hooked into, move your rods in parrallel near the rod that had the catch.
