Most people think that once you start live streaming people won't come to church anymore. First off that is not true and if people did leave because you started live streaming, they would have left anyway. Live streaming is a tool nothing more. It allows small churches to spread their message to the world just like any mega church. At my home church I battled all of the possible arguments against live streaming but now that we have live streamed for over a year, the church refuses to go back. It allows members to still take part in our service even if they are away on vacation, allows your church to reach people in the community by being shared on social media and it allows you to reach people that just stumble upon your videos on YouTube. It allows those who are unable to travel to church due to illness to still worship with their home church. 72,000 videos are watched every second on YouTube so it is highly likely you will have viewers you never would have met watching you. I made this video to help those who are interested in live streaming but don't know where to start. After helping over 22 churches to live stream, I've condensed down everything you need into a simple $1000 bundle. I promise you, this is the cheapest and most cost-effective way to start live streaming at your church and it is scaleable. Could you get an iPad and tripod and live stream for cheaper? Yes, you could but could that iPad integrate scripture, lyrics, picture in picture, social media posts, online giving, presentations all at the same time? I doubt it. That's the point of scalability. A computer will allow you to easily grow with the times. You won't need to throw away items in this bundle. It is a foundation that will set you up for the future. If you are tech savvy, you could always replace any item in this bundle for a more powerful item if you so desire. The Camera The Canon Vixia HF R800 Bundle ($269), includes everything you need for a single camera live streaming experience. Tripod, memory cards, cables, batters, case... all included. You could always get a better camera but again this was meant to be a complete $1000 bundle for any church. A different camera would most likely put you out of that $1000 price range. 2.) The Computer I've been building computers for over 20 years so a custom built computer is the way to go to save money and teach you how to handle any technical issues. Here are the base specs for the DEDICATED live streaming PC. Windows 10 Ryzen 3 2200G CPU 8GB DDR4 Ram 7200 RPM Hard Drive 450+ watt power supply 3.) Capture Card There are tons of capture cards out there but I personally use the Black Magic Designs Decklink Mini Recorder cards starting at $145. They give you HDMI input and SDI input. SDI is a lockable broadcast standard cable which gives you room to grow but we are only going to use the HDMI input for this bundle. This card only supports up to 1080i but to be honest when it comes to live streaming most platforms except for YouTube limit you to 720p and for church services that is plenty enough resolution. But if you want to invest for the future, you could get the Decklink Mini Recorder 4K for $50 more. 4.) The Software You need software to take the converted video signal from the capture card and broadcast it to your platform of choice. I personally recommend OBS because it is free and it just works: OBS: https://obsproject.com/ 5.) Video Platform Surprisingly there are tons of options. Honestly, you can pick anyone you want but I personally did a test on each one to see which was best for my congregation. The key here is to go where the crowd already is and not force the crowd to come to you. Here are just a few platforms to choose from: YouTube, Stream.me, YouNow, Facebook Live, Daily Motion, Twitch, Vimeo(paid) If you have any questions feel free to email me or leave a comment. I respond to all comments. -- Gear Used to Make This Video (affiliate links) -- https://kit.com/ajaytheceo/current-video-gear -- Follow Me -- Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ajaytheceo/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/ajaytheceo Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ajaytheceo/ -- Music Used In Video -- I Wonder by PYC Music https://soundcloud.com/pycmusic Creative Commons — Attribution-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported — CC BY-ND 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/3.0/ Music promoted by Audio Library https://youtu.be/Gqt2iSKP3Ck
